(Kathy) received and completed my training through Childbirth
International as a Certified Doula and Childbirth Educator.
I also received Perinatal Counseling Training through
Perinatal Bereavement Services of Ontario Canada. I am a
birth/postpartum Doula, provide private/group childbirth
education and I am coordinator of “Hands Reaching Out” Teen
Parent Support and Mentor Program. Mother of six…committed,
motivated, compassionate, dedicated.
My Helping Hands is comprised of a
team effort - Certified Nurse Midwife (retired)/ Certified
Doulas/ Certified Childbirth Educators/ Certified Breastfeeding
Educator/ Master Herbalist. We provide childbirth education and
preparation, birth assistance, and postpartum support. Our
services include communication skills with birth partner and
clinical care providers. We include emotional support,
informational resource during pregnancy, two prenatal visits to
practice breathing, relaxation techniques and positions for
labor, assistance in researching and writing a personalized
"Intentions Plan" (birth plan), support for birth partners that
concentrates on nurturing and caring, early labor support, help
in providing an environment where mother and baby can labor
comfortably and effectively, uninterrupted support during labor,
help initiating breastfeeding as soon as possible after birth
and one postpartum visit. We are on call from the 38th week to
birth 24 hours a day, every day. Contact My Helping Hands for

Hand In Hand team members
provide childbirth education and preparation, birth assistance, and
postpartum support (personal and infant care) with an emphasis on
birth experience choices, nutrition, breastfeeding and parenting
skills. Our services include emotional support, informational
resource during pregnancy, two prenatal visits, assistance in
researching and writing a personalized birth plan, support for birth
companions and family members, uninterrupted support during labor,
help initiating breastfeeding as soon as possible after birth and
postpartum face-to-face and phone contact. We are on call from the
37th week to birth 24 hours a day. Services are community funded and
FREE to all teen clients.
Additional Services: "Hands
Reaching Out" Teen Parent Mentor Program Creating a supportive
partnership between teenage mothers and local experienced moms
during the early days of motherhood.
