by Doulas of North America (DONA). I have attended Lamaze and
Bradley childbirth education courses and have read up on Birthing
from Within. As a doula, I support whatever type of birth a
mom-to-be chooses. I encourage moms to learn and make informed
choices. I provide education and emotional support throughout
pregnancy. During prenatal visits I help you to create a birth plan
that can be shared with medical staff. Throughout labor I provide
physical comforts (birth ball, massage, heat, ice, etc.) and help
you to understand how things are progressing and what to expect
next. I help moms and their partners to remember their birth plan.
